Product Description

Systems, machines, circuits, physical matter, digital material, the universe and its sub atoms. Surfing the dark web on a computer running MS DOS, only to find that it is gradually melting as you input code on a black screen. “Quantitative Matter and Motion” could be the soundtrack to an alien particle accelerator with its oscillating electromagnetic hum. “Implausible Inconsistency System” hints at trance inducing dub techno, quickly dissolving into acid erraticism. Analogous to the apparatus it refers to; cymbals are the symbols of the strip of tape passing through the device in “I Am Not a Turing Machine, You Are”. “The Consciousness of an Anthropic Mechanism” features one of Ekman’s signature thumping, blown-out basslines, adding cosmic tones. Title track “Gödelian Argument” presents sinister dialogue between machines, dialectic synthesizers dissenting over the origin of the universe.
